
Our meeting embraced an “April in Paris” theme, brought to life with beautiful decorations. Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch featuring chicken cordon bleu before we transitioned into our meeting, where we discussed several meaningful causes for potential donations.
Danny Tomlinson shared a presentation on the history of the Alvarado Cemetery, highlighting its earliest burial, the various organizations that have cared for different sections over the years, and the efforts that preserved it during the construction of I-70.
Following his presentation, we learned that recent high winds had toppled the cemetery’s flagpole. In response, we voted to contribute funds toward replacing the flagpole and installing new signage to help preserve and honor this important historic site.

This month, several members generously provided stained glass materials, giving everyone the opportunity to create mosaics on an item of their choice. The level of creativity on display was truly impressive!
